Yeah, manitoba, I'd like to see the list of hacks you've compiled. Seriously. I'm sure Anet would love to see it, too.

Then that totally sucks for the people that are going for the LDoA title and had no idea that tomes shouldn't exist in Pre-searing. Please, just do something about tomes. Don't screw over the players.

Question: Who in the heck would know about the LDoA title, and know about the method in which it is achieved, but not know tomes aren't supposed to be in Pre? Yeah, I don't see that happening.

When I heard about it, I thought it was just a new goodie like charr bags.
Was there a dated announcement saying that they wouldn't drop in pre, or that they said that they wouldn't allow them to drop in Pre? (Not being a smartass, just curious).

If you're going for the title, you have your finger on the pulse of everything Pre-Searing. The first time you heard about the bag, or the salvage kit, it was how it was found in Pre, from the Charr, not from someone selling it. Even still, your first reaction wouldn't be, "There are tomes dropping in pre? Holy crap let me buy one!" No, it would be "There are tomes dropping in pre? Where?" and your research and questioning would begin. It wouldn't take long to figure out that they aren't dropping - they must be coming in a different way.
I mean, unless they're idiotic and buy it straight away without thinking twice. Chances are, if anyone bought a tome, they knew what was up. I'd really like to hear the defense of someone who actually did buy one (or more).
EDIT:

*sigh* I guess I just don't like how long it takes to get to 20, and that essentially they're royally screwed now. I guess it's just overkill for me. I think I'd rather be banned...

Oh, I entirely agree. That is one PITA title, possibly the most agonizing and grind-filled of all the titles. And it definitely would suck to be kicked out of pre just before completion. I can concede that it is a rather harsh punishment, kinda. If they would just lock down any skill that cannot be otherwise acquired in Pre-searing, that would be a much better solution, IMO. That may keep the tomes in Pre, but they would be just about useless.
I'd /sign that over kicking them out to post.

Prove it in this way you mean. You'll see they have been around awhile theres lots to chose from not like its that hard to USE SEARCH FUNCTION
http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?q...acks&FORM=MSNH
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=guild+wars+hacks
Take your pick. Though most are more than likely key loggers.
Since I cant post the actually locations here you can fun looking through them, you will find them.

Surely you can't be seriously thinking any of those are real hacks, at all. Not even most, manitoba, they are all keyloggers, virii, spyware, backdoors, you name it. I would stake my account that there isn't a single "legit" hack for GW in any of those 2 bazillion pages listed.
Try again.

No I am not joking. I cant post the actual sites but I think I can say it begins with a T after the www. And yes as I said most of the searches are probably keyloggers and such.

You don't even have to mention sites. You claim there have been "a lot of hacks". Just name one. The name and function is all we need. Or even just the function. Just a simple "it was/is possible to [insert function of hack here]" would suffice. Of course, if you don't know of any, or how they work/what they do, your accusation is baseless as Gaile said.
Examples of the two we know of:
1) There was a way to send pre-searing characters to the guild hall, even after the original exploit was fixed; and
2) There was a way to dupe items by exploiting the reconnect feature
See? No websites, no links, just short and sweet explanations of hacks that we are aware of. So what information do you have to relay to us ignorant souls eager to learn?

Some people dump goods on n00bs if they think they're about to get in trouble. I've had people open trade windows and just offer to give me stuff in Pre without me even asking for anything. *lol* Its been dyes and crap weapons for the most part. Real n00bs will accept nearly anything you give them. I know quite alot of them so I know. If I gave one a tome and said "hey use this! I got it from the northlands!" they'd be like "sweet!". I could use a Monk Tome. Then I could give my E/Mo a reusuable rez. I could wait until I get to Ascalon City to buy any number of rezzes I have unlocked. But thats for n00bs. Real men unlock their skills in Pre.

lol...
Bull.
"Gee, I would sure like to buy that tome mister!". "How much is it?". The seller replies: "1 million for a regular tome, and 5 million for an elite tome."
Yeah, you (or whoever you're concerned about) didn't "know" doesn't cut it.
<sniff><sniff>
Is somebody BBQing steaks? Oh, wait...nevermind. It's just somebody's character getting seared.

Yeah I already got burnt for that, son. See a couple posts up. At least my highest level in pre is...I think 2 right now. So flame elsewhere.
Edit: It's 3.
